GIVING THANKS: Your Favs Share Thanksgiving Traditions & Thankful Thoughts
Gobble Gobble! It’s almost turkey day, and we can already smell the delicious aroma of turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing wafting through the air!
Thanksgiving brings up so many memories, and while most of us share a similar meal, traditions vary from family to family. Some have an intimate gathering at home and then head out for a movie and Black Friday shopping. Others travel across the country to spend time with their loved ones, and then lend their time at a soup kitchen. Whether you’re all about the food or enjoy making memories with your fam, Thanksgiving is one of the coziest feel-good days.
We asked your favorite celebs to get into the Thanksgiving spirit by sharing some of their most treasured traditions, favorite foods, and what they’re thankful for this year.

MAKE YOUR OWN FAMILY: Singer and YouTuber Annie Rose is all about community. Her extended family doesn’t live near her hometown in Texas, so instead, they make their own family by inviting people from the neighborhood to gather around the table.
“We don’t have any family that lives in Texas, and so we invite other families over who also don’t have family in town. Every year we have different random families for a huge meal that we eat on long tables on the porch. My dad cooks a huge turkey and makes a super spicy stuffing, and my mom makes mashed potatoes and peas. And we have sparkling apple juice to drink and Blue Bell ice cream on lots of different pies for dessert. Afterward, the dads always smoke cigars, and kids play board games very loudly in the den.”
A CLASSIC FAV: Teeny Wee creator Sasha Anne loves when her out of town siblings come home for turkey day and is all about an iconic Thanksgiving staple.
“My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is when my family gets together and we just hang out. I love it because I rarely see my brothers and sisters at the same time since they live in LA, Miami, and Georgia. I also love it when my mom makes sweet potato with marshmallows.”
DESSERT FIRST: Mercedes Lomelino’s outfits are always on-point in her GEM Sisters videos, and we’re sure her Thanksgiving Day look will impress. Her favorite Thanksgiving traditions are as sweet as she is, “Spending time with my cousins and my mom’s famous peanut butter pie!”

“My favorite Thanksgiving tradition is going to the Detroit Lions game on Thanksgiving Day. I am originally from Michigan, so going home and being at that game every year is the best!”
