The Over the Garden Wall Comic Has Arrived!
It’s time to head back Over the Garden Wall with Wirt, Greg, and Beatrice in the new Over the Garden Wall comic miniseries from KaBoom! The one-off OTGW comic that came out back in November was such a hit that they’ve brought the gang back for even more adventures! This time the comic will be a 4-parter, but is still part of the original OTGW story and timeline. Don’t worry though, it’s just as mysterious and whimsical as you’re expecting it to be, possibly even more!
Each issue in the Over the Garden Wall comic will take place between the episodes of the animated series that aired on Cartoon Network last year. Issue #1 takes place between episodes 3 and 4, Issue #2 will take place between episodes 4 and 5, Issue #3 will take place between episodes 6 and 7, and Issue #4 will take place between episodes 8 and 9 – rounding out the entire story. (The original one-off OTGW issue released last year covers what happened between 2-3, so if you want the entire story, go back and read that issue too!)
In Issue #1, Wirt and Greg try to hitch a ride out of Schooltown, but end up having to walk. They stumble across two girls who they have to keep entertained and help them out with their chores so they don’t wake and anger their giant father! Here’s a preview of the issue:
