Everything You Need to Know About the Loud Family
“The Loud House” is a brand new cartoon hitting Nickelodeon on May 2nd, but you can get a sneak peek at some of the episodes on Nick.com and the Nick App starting April 1st! The show follows Lincoln Loud, an 11 year old boy who’s just trying to survive his life as the only boy in a sea full of sisters. TEN of them, to be exact!
The series was created by Chris Savino, (who has worked on literally every cartoon you’ve probably ever loved in your life) and it’s based on his life, having grown up a house with 10 siblings.
As you can probably imagine, having 10 siblings isn’t easy, especially when you’re the only boy. Thankfully, Lincoln’s best friend Clyde is always there to help him come up with a plan to stay ahead of the chaos. Clyde spends so much time around the Loud House that he’s basically the 12th sibling, which is okay with him because he has a huge crush on Lori, Lincoln’s oldest sister.
Meet The Loud House Family:
Lincoln Loud:
Lincoln is 11 years old and the middle child. The good thing? He’s got his own room. The bad thing? It’s a closet that’s been converted into a bedroom, so it’s not exactly spacious, but there’s enough room to kick back and read comics. He’s not just the middle child, he’s got 5 older sisters, and 5 younger sisters for a total of 10 siblings. He loves his sisters, but they definitely don’t make his life easy – they’re always using him as a fashion show model or hogging the only bathroom. Thank goodness for his BFF Clyde, or he’d go crazy!
Lori Loud:
Lori is 17 the oldest of the Loud siblings and is like, literally the boss. (So she thinks!) She’s got a drivers license, so she’s often stuck driving her siblings around. She’s a professional texter, a social media queen, and an expert level eyeroller. Lori isn’t afraid to be blunt and tell you exactly how she feels. She can be a little sassy and sarcastic at times, but she really does love her family.
Leni Loud:
Leni is 16 and a total fashionista. She loves primping herself and is always designing new outfits and accessories to stay totally glam at all times. She’s definitely not the smartest of the sisters, but she’s super sweet and has a big heart.
Luna Loud:
Luna is 15 and the rocker of the family. She takes the “LOUD” name very seriously and can often be found shredding her guitar, reciting lyrics instead of thinking up real sentences, and obsessing over her new favorite band. She loves her family and is always willing to help out, but music will always be her most favorite!
Luan Loud:
Luan is 14 years old and is the goofball of the family. She’s always cracking jokes, playing pranks, and doing whatever she can to make the people in her life crack up with laughter. Something tells us though that Lincoln is probably the butt of a lot of her jokes? Luan has a ventriloquist dummy named Mr. Coconuts.
Lynn Loud:
Lynn is 13 and the jock of the family. She has a knack for turning any boring old activity into a sport, transforming it into something totally fun. (Though this occasionally leads to a mess!) She’s always up for a dare and is super passionate about her sports teams. Lynn is full of energy and is very competitive.
Lucy Loud:
Lucy is 8 years and our current favorite sister. She loves creepy, spooky things and wearing the color black. If you’re not sure where Lucy is, she can likely be found hiding out somewhere writing moody poetry or reading gothic fiction. She often appears out of nowhere, which totally freaks out her siblings.
Lana Loud:
Lana is 6 and not afraid to get her hands dirty. She loves doing all the gross jobs that everyone else seems to hate, like feeding snakes and unclogging toilets. She’s extremely handy and doesn’t ask for much in return, usually just some gum or a scoop of dog food.
Lola Loud:
Lola is Lana’s twin sister and a total diva. She couldn’t be more different than Lana. She’s both a pageant queen and a drama queen, so it pays to stay on her good side. She puts on a smile and a glittery persona while on stage, but she’s a tattletale and schemer deep down.
Lisa Loud:
Lisa may only be 4 years old, but she’s smarter than everyone else in her family. She loves science and can usually be found in her lab testing out new experiments. Lisa loves helping out with her siblings’ homework assignments and pointing out all the scientific flaws in their pillow forts. Did we mention she already has a PhD?
Lily Loud:
Lily is 15 months old and is a diaper escaping expert. She loves taking off her diaper and running around naked, leaving stinky surprises wherever she goes. She may be the family poop machine and drool monster, but she’s a total sweetheart.
From bathroom fights to TV hogs to unwanted makeovers it sounds like Lincoln is definitely in for a wild ride, and we’re in for lots of LOLs and what looks to be a new favorite cartoon!
