The Adventure Time 2015 Spooktacular is All About Marceline

Every year, KaBoom! Studios puts out a special issue of the Adventure Time comic book around Halloween. It’s called the “Spooktacular”, and it’s a one-shot side story that takes a detour from the ongoing plot of the comic series. It’s usually got some kind of spooky or Halloween-y vibe to it, and for the Adventure Time 2015 Spooktacular, we’re getting a glimpse of Marceline’s life before becoming the Vampire Queen!

The issue takes place during Marceline’s life before she was “turned”, and we learn all about her back story and how she became who she is today. Marcy and an adorable puppy explore what they believe to be an abandoned town, but is actually much more important than that. It’s the town where she came from! They end up releasing a bunch of vampire minions into the sunlight (who then explode), which causes a grandmother warrior to appear and demand Marceline leave the town before she puts her grandkids in danger. The puppy befriends the kids, and Marceline sneaks back into their camp to find out info about the scary Master vampire and kick some butt!

You’ll have to read it for yourself to find out what happens, but you’re in for a really fun story, we promise!
