15 Crucial Moments from Girl Meets Texas
The 3-part Girl Meets World event, Girl Meets Texas, had us all on the edge of our seats, completely freaking out. What’s going to happen between Riley and Lucas? What’s going to happen between Maya and Lucas? Will liking the same guy tear their friendship apart? Seeing everyone so hurt and confused and trying to deal with their feelings in such a big way has us not even really caring about the ships anymore and just rooting for everyone to be okay.
Riley, Maya, Lucas, and Farkle have one of the strongest bonds of any TV friends we’ve seen in a long time, so we think they’ll get through it just fine, but it’s still so hard to see them all going through such a hard time. Texas gave us some of the most real, and important moments of the series so far.

Seeing Maya at her most Maya…
Followed by seeing Maya at least Maya we’ve ever seen her. Maya isn’t usually so filled with feelings, she doesn’t even really know how to handle so many things happening at once. Admitting she likes Lucas. Riley figuring it all out. Unsure of what this all means for their friendship. She’s just a lost little puppy and it’s so hard to watch.
Riley realizing Maya is into Lucas…
…and how she’s hurt by it all, but more hurt that Maya kept a secret from her. “Sisters should tell each other their secrets, don’t you think?”
Farkle’s love affair with ribs.

Maya dumping not one, but two smoothies on Lucas’ head during their awkward date. Not only could they not even talk to each other, he told her the same story he told Riley that first day at the library.
Even though she’s unsure about her and Lucas, still demanding his attention when he gets distracted by Charlie and Riley.

The way Riley really has no idea how to handle any of this, despite the happy face she’s trying to put on for everyone else’s sake.
