Sky Chasers

Have you ever sat inside a cardboard box and pretended that it was a rocket ship? That’s exactly what Sky Chasers is all about. In this game from Lucky Kat Studios, you control a little boy named Max who’s taken off on a big adventure in his cardboard rocket!

In Sky Chasers, you’ll help Max fly through each of the levels by tapping on the left and right sides of the screen to keep your rocket ship in flight. You’ll want to collect as many coins as you can in each level, since that’s how you can save your game at a checkpoint (you can also choose to watch an ad) and unlock new ships. If you’re not into watching ads or using up your coins, you can also pay $2.99 to unlock checkpoints forever. (Though you don’t have to ever spend any money if you don’t want to!)

As you travel through the levels, you’ll notice that your fuel runs out each time you tap – be careful of this, if you run out of fuel, you’ll have to re-start from the beginning of the game (or the last checkpoint, if you have one unlocked.) You’ll also want to avoid enemies along the way. If you get hit by an enemy, you’ll lose a few coins and get knocked out of the way, which slows you down.

Right now there are 3 worlds you can play in, each are unlocked by beating the previous one. More levels should be on the way soon in future updates. The game has really adorable pixel graphics and great music that make you want to keep playing. Plus, the puzzles and challenges sprinkled throughout the game make it so that you’ll need to try each level a few times in order to beat it, but it’s not so hard that you’ll want to give up. It’s a really cute little game, and it’s free!
