SISSY SHARES: 5 Things to Do This Spring:
- Stop and Smell the Flowers:
It’s a phrase you hear a lot but have you ever really done it? Some of the first flowers you’ll see this Spring in your community are daffodils, crocus, and tulips. Smelling floral scents has the extraordinary power to put us in a good mood. So this spring; stop, smell and smile!
- Clean Out Your Closet:
Spring is a time of awakening – when the Earth begins to show life again. It’s also the perfect time to awaken a commitment to others. Go through your clothing and if you haven’t worn something in over a year, think about donating the item to someone in need.
- Grab a Blanket and a Book:
Springtime means warmer temperatures and longer days of sunshine. Use a blanket or a beach towel and read outdoors. Don’t forget that cute bookmark!
- Plant Something Green:
Digging our hands into the dirt helps remind us that we need to take care of the Earth. It’s also an amazing feeling watching something you planted take root, burst from the ground and blossom!
- Spring Break Staycation:
Do you have a break from school coming up? You don’t have to leave town in order to have a great vacation. Try having an international sleepover!
Ask each friend to bring a food based on their heritage. Next, have your friends write down a foreign film to watch on a piece of paper and draw the winner from a hat. Lastly, when it’s time to go to sleep, learn to say “goodnight” in 5 different languages.
Until next month,
Care for one another,
