Project Mc2: Smart Girls Rock Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead Sweepstakes
Calling all aspiring scientists, engineers, and developers – it’s time to rock your smarts! You’re probably already a fan of the awesome Project Mc2 series and S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) inspired products. In case you’re not – here’s a quick rundown.
McKeyla McAlister and her friends work together at NOV8, a government agency filled with smart girls and women who work together to try to save the world. McKeyla’s team consists of 5 extremely skilled and exceptionally fashionable girls who excel at math, art, engineering, tech, and other science and spy-related skills that help them save the day. Together they head out on exciting adventures, create awesome experiments, and learn a thing or two about friendship along the way. Interested? You can catch all 3 season of the show on Netflix, with a special episode releasing on February 14th.
In the spirit of their message, “Smart is the New Cool”, Project Mc2 has teamed up with Google and iD Tech to give you the opportunity to win the prize of a lifetime – a week at iD Tech’s famous Alexa Café in California. Alexa Café is an all-girls summer program that teaches young girls about technology, computer science, entrepreneurship, and social activism. They’re inspiring and empowering girls to follow their dreams and become the next leaders in S.T.E.A.M. fields.
Alexa Café isn’t your typical school setting, though. You’ll get to learn about the things that interest you, kick back in beanbag chairs, and make tons of new friends. Everything you learn will help you embrace your inner creativity, solve real-world problems, and work on a team full of other seriously smart ladies. It’s a dream come true for any girl who’s ready to change the world. If you win the Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead Sweepstakes, you’ll be headed to the Alexa Café based out of Stanford University, one of the best schools in the entire country.
Ready to enter? Head on over to Project Mc2’s site to fill out your entry form. Just ask your parents permission and come up with a creative answer on how you’re making smart the new cool in your everyday life. Are you building a robot that makes pizza? Working on your coding skills so you can great the next hit mobile game? Living for the Science lab at school? Putting the smart in art? Whatever it is that you’re passionate about, write a short 100 word or less essay. You’ve probably written texts that are longer than that!
The sweepstakes begins today (February 13th) and runs through February 22nd, 2017. The 5 winners will be announced on Project Mc2’s Facebook page via live stream on March 8th.
