Misfit City #6: Tough Decisions, Adorable Pups, and Halloween

When we last left the gang, they were exploring the caves beneath Bootlegger’s Bluff, inching closer to finding the treasure. The only problem? They weren’t the only ones in the cave on the hunt. As danger lurks right on their tails in Misfit City #6, our girls face a few big decisions.

Misfit City #6 - PREVIEW

When they come to a fork in their path, they must decide to go left, right, or split up. After Dot’s brief history lesson schooling everyone on when iconic phrases about “strength in numbers” and “divide and conquer” were coined, they ultimately decide to split up. This doesn’t last very long, as Wilder and Todd come crashing through the floor, landing on a pile of besties. Pippin adorably helps out, romance is discussed, sleepovers are mentioned, and we’re reminded again that these girls, although on a dangerous mission, really are just high schoolers who are totally winging it. It’s an exciting issue, for sure! Plus, we get to see everyone in Halloween costumes!

Misfit City #6 – PREVIEW:

There are some setbacks in this issue, making us wonder if they’ve missed their chance at the treasure. Misfit City #6 leaves us with more questions than answers, but not in a bad way. It just means we’re already excited to see what happens next! You can pick up this issue on October 18th wherever comics are sold. We probably say this every single time, but we just love this cover, designed by Naomi Franquiz. It’s a reminder that these girls are friends first, treasure hunting buddies second. They have stories and interests and lives outside of Black Mary’s treasure, but you know they’ll also be closer for sticking together in the end – no matter what happens! It makes us wonder how they all met, how long they’ve known each other, and what kind of pizza they’ll order at their next sleepover.
