Just when you thought you couldn’t possibly be more hyped about the DC Super Hero Girls, DC Comics and Warner Brothers drop a trailer for the very first original movie, “Hero of the Year”. Get your cape on and check it out!

“Hero of the Year” follows the DC Super Hero Girls squad as they balance the struggles of high school alongside trying to defeat Eclipso and Dark Opal, two super villains who are trying to bring darkness to Super Hero High. The flick will reintroduce Wondy, Bat Girl, Bumblebee, Katana, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn for new viewers as well as take the audience along for a brand new, never before seen adventure. Whether this is your first DC Super Hero Girls experience or you’re a die-hard fan, you’ll find something to love in “Hero of the Year”.

The movie will be released digitally on August 9th and on DVD on August 23rd. You won’t just be getting a movie – there will also be 6 animated shorts and a few special featurettes about Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, and Bumblebee.
