5 Cartoon Crossovers That Need to Happen
Inspired by “Say Uncle”, the ridiculously wonderful Steven Universe/Uncle Grandpa crossover episode that aired yesterday on Cartoon Network – we decided to dream up some other ideas for future cartoon crossovers!
Power Puff Universe –
A cartoon crossover where the ladies of the Crystal Gems from Steven Universe join forces with the Power Puff Girls! Think of how much more butt-kicking action there could be if Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet joined Buttercup, Blossom, and Bubbles to form a super ultimate girl group! The PPG are coming back to Cartoon Network in 2016 – so not only is this idea feasible, it’s at the top of our wishlist!
Phineas and Ferb and Clarence –
Clarence and his buddies create a new invention that accidentally warps them to Phineas and Ferb’s backyard. Think about it – Clarence, Jeff, and Sumo always have fun hangs and wacky antics – and so do Phineas and Ferb. Phineas and Ferb and Clarence is bound to bring guaranteed LOLZ. We have a feeling Clarence and his buds would be totally into the idea of a perpetual summer vacation.
Speaking of dudes who are professional fun-havers, Mordecai and Rigby from Regular Show are basically the best at kicking back and having a great time with their buds. Is it possible to have a three way cartoon crossover? If so, The Phineas and Ferb and Clarence and Mordecai and Rigby Show might be the most epic crossover of all! (Although the name may need a little work!)
Bubblegum vs. the Forces of Ooo –
Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time and Princess Star Butterfly from Star vs. the Forces of Evil have a lot in common. Think about it – they’re both princesses, are both totally smart, and are both advocates of do-goodery! With Star’s wand and PB’s sciencey know-how, these two would be unstoppable in their crossover: Bubblegum vs. the Forces of Ooo!
Uncle SpongeBob:
If reading the words Uncle SpongeBob doesn’t have you picturing SpongeBob equipping a Belly Bag and Patrick running around trying to eat Pizza Steve, there’s something wrong with your imagination. Uncle Grandpa and SpongeBob already wear similar outfits, which is perfect for a life swapping Freaky Friday-esque scenario. This cartoon crossover would be so seamless, we’re surprised it hasn’t happened yet! Something tells us Squidward wouldn’t be too excited about this idea.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Titans Go!:
In quite possibly the most obvious title-wise of all cartoon crossovers, the Teen Titans head underground into the TMNT’s Super Sewer HQ. Taking the weekend off, the TMNT and Teen Titans spend the weekend eating pizza, shouting Booyakasha, and inevitably listening to Raven whine that she wants to go home. Robin would likely immediately trying to whip the TMNT into shape to join the Teen Titans, having finally found a team who is serious about crimefighting. Starfire could help Donny build the confidence to ask April out on a date.
Which of these cartoon crossovers would you want to watch? Do you have any crossover ideas of your own?
