Awesome Avengers Mashups
Avengers: Age of Ultron is finally here and so is our awesome gallery of hilariously awesome Avengers Mashups! The movie came out today and we’re totally psyched to go see it. There’s even two new Avengers joining the team, a twin brother/sister teen duo – Scarlet Witch (Wanda) and Quicksilver (Pietro). Originally they’re on the bad side and are allies with Ultron – but they eventually become Avengers. No spoilers though – you’ll have to see the movie to find out what happens – but here’s some more info on the new characters:
Scarlet Witch can use her magic and power for mind control. She can see what others see and feel the things they feel. She’s really smart and has lots of knowledge and power that is hard for her to control, but when it works, it totally kicks butt. (Kinda like the kids from Harry Potter. They are capable of so much, but it’s not until they visit Hogwarts and learn to control and use it correctly that they can really do great magic.) Fun Fact – all of Scarlet Witch’s motions and movements in the movie were inspired by real life dancers. She’s also got really cool style. It’s pretty great to see another cool lady joining the Avengers! Lady power!
Quicksilver is the older brother of Scarlet Witch. He can move at superhuman speed, which is definitely an advantage you want to have while you’re in an epic battle with the bad dudes. He’s kind of quick tempered and can get frustrated very easily. Maybe him and Hulk should try to hug it out or something? Quicksilver is very protective of his sister since they were abandoned by their parents at a young age, and he had to become a father figure to her and help raise her.
